Testimonials

"Over the last 20 years I've driven an estimated 1.25 million kilometres in the eight cars that I've owned. After treating each vehicle consistently with PT-5 and/or One Shot, I have enjoyed smoother running, reduced emissions and major fuel savings in each vehicle almost immediately. I can testify that Pro-Ma Performance Products save dollars and I endorse these fuel saving additives to each and every cost conscious motorist." - Don Odell, QLD

"A great product, simple to use, immediate results." Satisfied customers speak...

"Since using One Shot, I have noticed a 10% to 15% increase in fuel economy with more available power at lower rpms in my Ford Falcon. The simple one bottle per month application means no measuring and no mess! One Shot is number one in fuel additives for me." "After using One Shot I was amazed at the definite and noticeable difference in performance, particularly at low speed. I drive a Mercedes Benz C280 and could feel the difference. I also enjoyed a fuel saving of approximately 10%. Great product and great convenience of application."

"One Shot Concentrated Fuel System Cleaner is absolutely amazing and I believe a revolutionary product like never seen before. In my Honda Odyssey, I received immediate results: increased power, better and smoother acceleration and over 10% fuel economy savings were recorded in the first treated tank of fuel. This product is a must for the everyday motorist."

"I drive a Ford Futura 1999 Model and I was very surprised at the improvement in performance and economy. The engine ran more smoothly and more responsively."

One Shot cleans your fuel system as you drive "A great product, simple to use, immediate results."

PRO-MA DT5 PLUS
Driver: George Kann
Vehicle: 1991 Hilux Dual Cab
Motor: 2.8 Turbo
Fuel: Diesel

I regularly travel between Innisfail and Townsville towing a tandem axle caravan with a 1991 Hilux 2.8 turbo dual cab diesel Ute. The distance is 256km. Normally I expect to use between 50-55 litres of diesel treated with ProMa's DT5 Plus. On one occasion I was in Innisfail, had finished my run and had sold out of my DT5 Plus. My own bottle for treating my vehicle was entirely empty. I expected to use a little over 60L of untreated fuel on the run back to Townsville, but was surprised when it used over 70L -far more than I expected. The reduction in power in the vehicle was noticeable. When I returned home I refilled and treated the fuel with DT5 Plus and the performance returned immediately. Since then, the fuel has not been left untreated and with over 350,000km on the vehicle, the injectors have not been replaced or needed servicing in any way. I believe this is purely because of Pro-Ma's DT5 Plus.

PRO-MA MBL8
Driver: Don O'Dell
Vehicle: SS V8 Commodore
Motor: SS V8

MBL8 was added to my SS V8 engine at the first 10,000km service. With MBL8 added this engine has not had the rattle and rebuild problems that have plagued other V8 high performance engines. MBL8 has been added at all 10,000km services by the Holden Dealer. My SS V8 has now travelled 164,000km on MBL8. Interestingly, no oil has been needed between the 10,000km oil change intervals. This has met with some interesting conversation as the 5.7 V8 had a reputation for high oil consumption. 20mL of MBL8 was added to the power steering, when a leak was detected in the left rack at 140,000km which has saved an expensive steering rack replacement with no further leaking evident. I recommend Pro-Ma's MBL8 to all vehicle owners. 1.5 million km of personal use are testimony to this unique and very affordable maintenance program.

PRO-MA PT5
Driver: Peter Gray
Vehicle: 2002 Ford XR8
Motor: 260KW

My wife Helen dirves a 2002 Ford XR8 fitted with a 260 KW engine. This engine was designed to run on premium grade fuel only. On premium fuel it was returning 14.9 litres per one hundred kilometres. I decided to change over to unleaded fuel and added Pro-Ma PT5 as per the instructions. The engine was treated with 125mL of MBL8 Oil Additive. Fuel consumption came down from 14.9 to 10.7 litres per one hundred kilometres. The engine has now done 183,000 kilometres with the same spark plugs, the fuel filter has still not been changed, the exhaust is spotless and the car is running beautifully. We are very happy with the result and tell all our friends about Pro-Ma.

PRO-MA diesel fuel additive
Andrew Norton reports on an additive that can make a significant difference to the performance of diesel engines.

In May, while taking a break in Port Stephens for a few days, I did a bit of dolphin watching aboard a 16.2m, 70-passenger ferry that does regular runs from Nelson Bay to Tea Gardens.

Powered by a 1961 GM 4-71 diesel, which developed 120hp continuous at 1800rpm, the 1951 timber ferry displaced around 40 tonnes with a full passenger load. Averaging 8kt for the one-hour run each way, with an open-water service speed of 11kt, the 4-71 consumed a mere 11 litres per hour.

Initially I thought the engine was a straight six and naturally aspirated. There was virtually no supercharger whine and the vibration levels were too low for a big four. Also, when the engine was started there was a small puff of grey smoke from the dry exhaust stack, and when manoeuvring there was absolutely no black smoke - unusual for GM diesels, which have never been known for their clean running!

When I talked to the skipper, Dave Mullen, about the engine, he slid back the engine box cover to reveal the 4-71. He said that before using the Pro-Ma DT5 Plus Concentrate Diesel Treatment, the 4-71 averaged 14 litres per hour for the run, so not only was the engine running cleaner, but it was using 20 per cent less fuel - a significant saving in a commercial vessel.

Pr-Ma's DT5 Plus is an additive mixed 1000:1 (one litre to every 1000) with normal distillate. Developed in 1953, its surfactant properties control sludge by breaking down sludge and oxidation residues into particles less than one micron in diameter. This reduces the possibility of fuel filter and injector blockages.

Detergents clean the fuel injection system by removing deposits such as gums, varnishes and carbon residues. The cold flow improver prevents wax formation at low ambient temperatures by lowering the "pour point" of fuel by 9degreesC to 17degreesC. A combustion modifier is used to improve flame progression during the combustion cycle. Government-certified testing has shown an increase in engine output of up to 9.5 per cent.

DT5 Plus also has a poly butane ashless lubricant to reduce wear in fuel pumps and injectors when using low sulphur distillate. And as distillate has high hydroscopic or water absorption properties, DT5 has a water-control agent to reduce rust and algae-growth formation.

DT5 is a balanced compound of ashless organic materials in a pure hydrocarbon solvent and is completely soluble in diesel fuel. The specific gravity of the product is 0.8 at 15.5DegreesC, the flash point is 48.8DegreesC and the pour point is below -65DegreesC. The ash content is less than 0.005 per cent. Pro-Ma says that DT5 contains no methanol, ethanol or isopropyl alcohol (used to prevent fuel and oil separating in premix 2-stroke outboards).

Pro-Ma recommends that DT5 be added to your boat's fuel tank at time refilling to disperse additive throughout the tank. Continued use will control water contamination, keeping the fuel fresh and remove old deposits.
